For those of you that we able to attend last Tuesday’s Summer Social, thank you. We were very pleased with the turnout of nearly 70 people and appreciated the time and information presented by Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf, Urban Initiatives, and Michael Huber, Deputy Mayor. Thank you to our area businesses Greek Islands Restaurant, Iozzo’s Garden of Italy, Shapiro’s Deli, Tavern on South, JP Parker Flowers and CityWay for their in-kind donations. And another big thank you Gary Padjen of The Crane Bay and TK Nelson of Crystal Catering for hosting the event and to Jon Quick for helping us get the word out.
About Wednesday’s Meeting
We hope you will join us once again for our regular monthly meeting this Wednesday, June 20, at 8:30am. We will meet at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall at 8am to enjoy fresh bagels and coffee provided by Shapiro’s Deli. You will not want to miss this important meeting. Rose Scovel will be speaking to us about Economic Improvement Districts (EIDs). This is the beginning of a conversation that our membership will need to have about whether this type of self-imposed tax is appropriate for our neighborhood.
Also, it is time to pay your membership dues. If you have not done so, please take a moment to complete the application located in the How to Join tab of this website and send in your check. Your support is very important to the success of our organization.
Remember to visit the Stadium Village Farmer’s Market on your way home tomorrow night. The produce, meats, baked goods, and wine are outstanding…for a complete list of vendors and more information, please visit www.stadiumvillagefarmersmarket.com.
