Just a friendly reminder our next Stadium Village Business Association monthly meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, April 19th at Sacred Heart Parish located on 1125 S. Meridian Street. Doors will open at 8:00 am with coffee and bagels to start your morning. Compliments of Shapiro’s! We will begin promptly at 8:30 am.
We’ll have information on upcoming events, projects as well as a special guest speaker, Deb Kunce with Core Planning Strategies.
A special thank you goes out to Susan Hyatt with IUPUI! She sent the information below and attached flyer to share with everyone. A great piece of history!
Members of your group may not know that at one time, a high percentage of the Jewish immigrants who used to live on the southside once worked for a business called Kahn Tailoring. Kahn was located at 800 North Capitol St (corner of Capitol and St. Clair). That building has just been beautifully renovated into apartments. On Friday, April 21 (this coming Friday), the building manager is willing to let anyone who wants to come by to see the building and learn a bit about its history. I have prepared a small exhibit on the history of Kahn Tailoring that will be on display that day. Please let people know that they are welcomed to stop by the building this Friday between 9-5 to see the exhibit and the building. I have attached a flier with the details here: FLIER(2)
Lastly, THANK YOU to everyone who has sent in their membership dues! We appreciate your support! If you haven’t, here is the form—–> stadiumvillagemembership
