Hello SVBA members!  We are scheduled to do a planting and beautification day on Sat. May 20th.  We will be planting flowers in your pots and, in some, planting an evergreen.  Watering will take place on a weekly basis, but feel free to give them some extra water in the hot dry months if you wish.  We are planting 5 trees as well north of the interstate thanks to some of our businesses who donated money for this effort.  Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood is bringing volunteers to our neighborhood to help with the planting, beautification and clean-up.  They are also looking to place a branch of their church in our neighborhood!!!! We are very grateful for their willingness to help us and we would like as many members of the SVBA to join in to help and show our appreciation.  The planting will start at 9:00am and we will have SVBA members meet at Midwest Computer Accessories at 850 S Meridian St.  Hope to see you there!!
